A-stars and Writing

Hello again!
So I've decided to post again, after reading old posts.

Okay, I got A* in my Science exam which I was super excited about! But my main subject today is my thoughts.
A lot of the time, I write. Poems, stories, books, etc - and right now I'm trying to get started on another book after NaNoWriMo 2012.
Have any of you ever tried to write a book? Because trust me, it's not as easy as it looks - or maybe it is, if it looks quite hard. I prefer to start my books off with a few ideas in my head about where the plot's going to go, an idea about the main character and where it's set, and then just go from there. Some people do prefer to plan but for my that's just not the easiest thing to do because my mind changes all the time, in writing and in life so it annoys me to change my plan every two seconds. With my NaNoWriMo 2012 that's exactly what I started out with, and it built up into a 50,000 word manuscript that I'd quite like to get published at some point and am currently applying to agents for.
My writing on this blog is nothing like the writing in that book. Where on here I use slang, abbreviations, etc, in my book it's informal yet it uses proper language and grammar. Yeah, it's told from the point of view of a 15/16 year old girl (Oh God, I can't remember, how bad is that) who's American so it's bound to use at least some slang - and it does, but not so mu that the whole thing just seems illiterate.
I'll leave you there to ponder whatever this post makes you think about which is most likely nothing, considering this is quite a shallow, un-insightful post.

Ciao!

Exams and Experimentation

Hola!

My exam went good, thanks for asking! It could have been better but then it could have been a lot worse! Good luck in your next exam whenever it is, you'll do awesome in it - just don't leave revision until the last minute like me!
Not a long post today, sorry...

P.S: I've been messing with my post colours and that's why they're all different, haha!

I SHOULD BE STUDYING

Hello again.

I SHOULD BE STUDYING. The internet is a silly distraction but it's one thats temptation is too great to resist.
The thing is, I have my first GCSE Science exam first thing tomorrow and I haven't done much revision up until now. Clever, aren't I?

Usually I get through just fine in exams. I'm pretty smart so I'm usually awesome without revision. But this time? I wish I'd revised more. I'm just so nervous that I'm going to fail - I want A* in all my GCSEs and if I get any less than an A now then I don't think that's going to happen.

I got an A in the mock but what'll probably happen is I'll do great in the mock and shit in the real one.

I'm also watching the 18th annual National Television Awards (And Colin Morgan, Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith were all nominated for Best Male Performance in Drama. I would have liked Benedict to win but Colin's still very amazing).

I'm going to try and revise again now. My method is putting party rings by each section so when I go through each section I get to eat a quarter of a party ring!

So yeahh, back to revision.
Wish me luck!

Really, Britain?!

Heyyyyy there. How are you all doing?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that after a few inches of snow Britain seems to go into an emotional, moral, economic, political, environmental and every other way possible decline? Snow just seems to shut the whole country down - I mean, when you think about it basically, snow is literally just frozen rain. And it does this to our country. We should be ashamed of ourselves!
My parents were discussing it earlier and my mum works in a hospital - she said she had staff phoning in saying they couldn't make it when they lived a ten minute walk away and clearly just couldn't be bothered to make the effort. But then, she had another member of staff walk for an hour and a half, who still managed to get to the hospital for seven am. This, England, is what we need! We need more people like that; more people who can be bothered to work, who take pride in their jobs and ensuring they get there on time.

Honestly, Britain. Get with it.

Expect the Unexpected...

Hey guys!
So: new year, new post, new blog, new me.

Everyone says that when a new year starts - "look out for the new me!"
They never change. The days go by and then the days turn into weeks, months, and before you know it, the year's over and it's yet again time to make foolish resolutions that we never keep.
My resolution this year was to stop biting my nails (terrible habit, I know), however I really doubt I'm going to be able to keep up with this one. So far I haven't had much luck - maybe I'm succeeding a little and maybe reducing how much I do bite my nails but I'm far from stopping. What's your resolution this year? Perhaps it's to give up smoking, or to stop drinking, or even to make sure you revise for exams - but whatever it is, good luck with your seemingly impossible journey.
Well, 2013. SO far, it's been a pretty awesome year, but there's the potential there for this year to be the worst by far. Then - isn't every year like that? You never know what's going to happen; you can never be exactly sure if it's going to be god, bad, or in between. In a way, that's the fun part - because life wouldn't be the same without the unexpected.
I may be a little late with this but happy new year - here's to the unexpected.
